What is the point of The British 150 Playlist??

It is a love letter to the musical diversity of the (geographical – not political) British Isles—an islandy archipelago of contradictions, creativity and cultural mashups.

This playlist is my way of celebrating the genuine variety of musical voices we’ve produced, welcomed, borrowed from and grown into.

It’s about the sound of Britain and Ireland in all its messy, melodic glory! 

And yes, I will keep tweaking it until I’ve made a podcast episode for each track. Because that’s the kind of chaos I live for.
