The Falkirk Wheel – Photos by KIPT.UK – Visit the Falkirk Wheel for a fantastic day out! A modern marvel of engineering, the wheel is part of a canal system that spans the breadth of Scotland. The boats and up to 500,000 litres of water are raised or lowered an astonishing 100 ft through the air in a system that uses only the energy of eight kettles to complete the trip.
